Dawn was planning her wedding and saw me on the online resource, www.TheFlirtyGuide.com after a fellow videographer told her about it. She contacted me and shortly thereafter, Dawn and her fiancé, Nars, became my clients.
We communicated at length via email and at the end of each correspondence, there was inevitably some sort of an apology about the length of our missive. Dawn likes to write. As do I. Perhaps, for me, it's narcissistic self-appreciation - the fact that I like writing and reading my own voice. :-) But for Dawn, there isn't an inkling of self aggrandizing. In fact, before you get to know her, she is quite shy and somewhat of an introvert. Which is why the video I've posted below is so amazing.
Dawn and Nars are easily among my favorite clients of all-time. Not just because they're a super sweet, humorous couple that are generous (with their friendship as well as with their pocketbook!) and thoughtful, but also because they trusted me implicitly. They had a few questions about how their video would turn out, but all in all, they allowed me to create the movie that I thought would fit them best. To me, that trust is an indispensable part of a healthy vendor-client relationship.
After we shot her wedding and pulled off a successful Instant Video (same day edit), Dawn and Nars sent me this email:
Andrew,
YOU ROCK!!!!!! Thank you so much for the videos - they were awesome! You did wonders with our footage, and we can't wait to see it all again. We got so many compliments last night, and I don't know if you were present when our music video was played, but you had everyone in an uproar. Our guests LOVED it! I don't know what else to say, except that you are THE BEST. Please put us down as referrals because want to tell everyone how incredibly good you are and how fun it is to work with you.
Please also extend our thanks to Ryan, especially for making the time to travel all the way out here from Michigan. He is such a cool guy and the two of you were an awesome team.
I hope you both got a good night's sleep, and drive home safely.
Lots of love,
Dawn and Nars
This, of course, is the sort of currency that my soul can use (and it goes a long way!)
Thank you, Dawn and Nars for including me in your wedding plans. I look forward to continuing our friendship!

Andrew, you are very creative, and this talent cannot be learned from school or from books. It comes from within and that is what separates you from the rest of the trade. We are so happy that Dawn selected you. You are truly an ARTIST!
Thank you again,
Jerre and Tish Johnson
