Amazáe Special Events and Claudia Akers Photography

Last week I had the pleasure of attending the Grand Opening of my good friends, Claudia Akers' and Crystal Lequang's intimate and chic new studio in San Jose. I stopped by in the morning to drop off and test a DVD of the promo video that I made for Claudia (as shown at a previous blog post) and ended up helping out with some setting up and unloading of flowers and furniture pieces.

Nicole Ha was there to do all the flowers and while we Nicole, Crystal, and I were moving things around and decorating, the experience reminded me a lot of some of the past shoots that the three of us worked on before.

I came back later that night to hang out and rub elbows again with the Bay Area wedding industry's brightest stars!

Monaco Glitz

Remember not too long ago I mentioned a secret project that was going to be inspired by Bond, James Bond? Well, you guessed it; the secret project has to do with a photoshoot with a team of awesome collaborators. I won't mention too much about the shoot just yet, and the images have yet to be revealed, but just know that we decided to pursue a James Bond look-and-feel because of the triple-helping of suave and oozing sexiness that Bond consistently brings.

Dang. Look out smooth Bond is!

Wildflower Linens

Today I spent the better part of the day hanging out with Lily Young from Wildflower Linens and Lea McIntosh of Lea McIntosh Fine Events.

I hung out at the Wildflower Linens awesome studio space in the eastside of the Potrero District where delivery trucks are always busily roaring to and fro. You would never think that in such a grey and industrial warehouse area that there could be a pocket of such vibrant color and beauty nestled between the rest of it! I was there working on a special project with Lea - the likes of which I will reveal later on - but had a great time getting to know Lily and spend more time with Lea.

I won't go into too much detail about the time I spent there because I want to save it for when the project is completed, but let me just say this: I never saw so many wonderful fabrics with which to decorate your reception tables! It's more colorful than the inside of a Sweet Factory!
