Well, it's been a long time in the making, but here - finally - is the behind the scenes video of some of the wonderful vendors that helped make the shoot happen!
By the way, please swing by SMP and give my photographer friend, Lisa Lefkowitz some nice comments too! Her work is amazing. Check it out! (Incidentally, Lisa has a new website. It, too, is amazing.)
Check out the new article and photo editorial: HERE
In this post I talk a little about the evolution of my brand some of the mistakes I made along the way. In a future post, I talk about the Canon MkII 5D and some other things. Be sure to check it out.
Being selected to be featured on a top industry blog like this is amazing! I can't believe my eyes! Someone pinch me. :-)
Check it out! The Beltane Ranch video that my friends at Thi Cosmetics invited me shoot is a hit! I'm so encouraged by what Abby Larson of Style Me Pretty said about my video. It just made my day!
"You are going to LOVE this next feature. And I mean seriously love.
The ridiculously talented Andrew Hsu of Studio MSV sent us this little clip that he put together during a photoshoot for Brides Northern California Magazine.
I mean…is that not the greatest thing you have ever seen?"
Thanks Abby and the SMP gang for the feature and the super nice words, (and for following me on Twitter!)
Check out my short interview on the WedClix.com blog!
It's funny - not funny ha ha, funny like 'weird' - to read someone else's blog and have my words and 'voice' coming out of there! Check it out, won't you?
If you know your internet - and I'm quite certain you do - you know all about Southern Weddings online blog, www.swsmag.net. It's a terrific resource for brides and wedding vendors alike, and if you haven't heard of them, you most certainly will be getting ears full soon enough! They're all the buzz! (So be sure to check them out and get caught up!)
SW just published their very first print edition (congratulations ladies!) and it's all over the bookshelves at bookstoreseverywhere! SW is holding a photo contest for people who send them pics of their mag on the stands. Check out the contest rules here.
But my proudest moment is of thesethreeposts that they made about my Vendor Chic back in September 2008. I feel like I am one of those cool kids that knew of a rock band before they made it big. I practically have a t-shirt to prove that I heard of them first :-)
Good luck with your new endeavor ladies!
Check out one of the videos that they featured in their post!
Here's a real-life account of the dialogue I had with my blog last night:
Me: Hey, blog. What's goin' down, vato? Blog: ... Me: What's wrong? Blog: Nothing. Me: Don't tell me, "nothing" - clearly you're upset. Blog: Do you even care about me anymore? Me: What?! Blog: You used to pay so much attention to me. To the tune of four posts a week -- but lately I feel like... I feel like ... Me: What? Blog: ...you ... you just haven't spent a lot of time with me lately, that's all. Me: What are you talking about? I'm sitting here every day for hours on end. Blog: But you're never really paying attention to ME. Me: I've been working OK? If you want me to stop working, there would be no reason to even keep you around. Blog: ! Me:... sorry... I didn't mean that... Blog: I don't even know who you are anymore. Me: Look; I said I'm sorry. Blog: Just go do what you have to do. Me: Don't be like that. I've been editing client wedding videos; working on important marketing materials; a new video to launch my proposal videos; a brand new 'legacy video' feature; and a whole bunch of other things. Plus, I need to spend time with my family for the holidays! Not to mention the fact that I've hardly been sleeping because of the new puppy and I haven't touched a Playstation 3 controller for like three months! Blog: Excuses excuses. Me: Ugh. I can't talk to you right now. Andrew's Fantasy Football Team: For what it's worth, Blog. I feel the same way you do.
